The immediate past Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, has lamented that using state’s agency and media platforms to make him appear corrupt is a form dent to his integrity.
The former governor and lawmaker made this heartbreaking statement while reacting to court ruling on the case between him and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Recall that this final ruling was his fifth victory over the anti-graft agency.
The Federal High Court sitting in Lagos ruled out the claims of EFCC that Mr Saraki should forfeit his property to the Federal government.
The court clearly stated that the charges of acquiring the property through inordinate means are mere suspicion, as the agency could not provide adequate evidence to support their claims, this made the court order that his property be released to him.
In the detailed emotional piece, Dr Saraki explains all he did, both as a governor and as a senate president, in support of the fight against corruption.
He further explained that Mr Magu took his refusal of confirmation as the substantial chair for EFCC by the 8th National Assembly personal.
He is however, thankful to all who have supported him through his five-year ordeal, pledges further support for the fight against corruption and explained that he bears no grudges against anyone.
