A statement released by the management of Air Peace has confirmed the rumours that the Airline has sacked about 70 pilots.
Speaking through the spokesperson of the group, Mr Stanley Oliseh, the Airline explained the incidence as unfortunate and necessary.
He further stated that Airpeace have never failed in carrying out their financial obligations to their employees, thus, they could not keep more employees than the number they could care for.
Meanwhile, he also confirmed that the Airline has slashed salaries of the workers who have not been disengaged up to 40% depending on the workers’ level and earning.
He explained that the decision was born out of the impact of COVID 19 to the air transportation across the globe.
