The governor of Oyo state, Dr Seyi Makinde has said that the state government will repatriate all her indigenes trafficked to Lebanon.

Meanwhile, the details of this discussion was made known in a statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr Taiwo Adisa.
Several groups and individuals have been lamenting about human trafficking and the failure of the country to make adequate provision for her youths and blame it as one of the major reasons why people fall victim to human trafficking.
One of such calls and lamentations was made by Prof. Banji Akintoye, the president of Yoruba World Congress.
Prof. Akintoye said that massive migration of Nigerian youths abroad is as a result of lack of youths’ developmental programmes in the country.
He further stated that youths, especially the Yorubas, who are known for education graduate without jobs only to be taken abroad for prostitution.
