The government of Ogun state has joined the likes of Kogi, Oyo, Lagos, among others in announcing the reopening of schools.
This was made known by the Chief Press Secretary to the state’s government, Dr Kunle Somori.
According to him, this is the second phase of reopening, as the first phase was for SS3 students.
Although creches and nursery classes will not be resuming in public schools, primary and secondary schools are given a nod.
Primary one to three will be in school between 8:00 am and 11:00 am, while Primary four to six continues from 12:00 to 3:00 pm.
The same applies to the secondary schools, the junior secondary schools resume at 8:00 and close at 11:00 am, while the senior secondary schools start at 12 and close at 3 pm.
The state’s spokesman explained that the decision is one of the safety measures put in place to examine the situation, before opening for the next phase.
