The government of Edo state has declared a 24-hour curfew in the state following what has turned out to be hoodlums’ activities in the name of #End SARS protest.
Benin prison was said to have been invaded and vandalised, leading to escape of some inmates.
The prison is popularly known as “White House”; similarly, the hoodlums burnt down Ugbeku Police Station there in Sapele Road of Benin and carted away some valuables, as well as invading High Court beside the station.
The state government said to have responded in order to avoid further break down of law and order.
Meanwhile, Edo protesters were caught on camera cooking jollof rice.
