Plateau state’s governor, Rt Hon. Barr. Simon Bako Lalong, has stated that the looting and vandalism of palliative by hoodlums has incurred ₦75 billion damage to the state.
According to him, the entire damage has not been ascertained, the ₦75 billion is the initial estimate put forward by the commission set up for the course.
The governor made this remark in a chat with youths at the state’s government house Little Rayfield yesterday.
The governor also appealed to the well-meaning citizens to ensure that the state remains peaceful and stable, as the curfew has been relaxed.
He however, regretted the hardship caused by the curfew.
