The West African Examinations Council has announced that 215,149 results have been withheld in Nigeria, on account of examination malpractices.
The head of the council in Nigeria, Mr Patrick Areghan, made this known while briefing newsmen on the outcome of 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examinations (May/June).
The number, according to him, represents about 13.98% of the over 1.5 million that sat for the examination, while slightly above one million made 5 credits and above.
He further stated that the board recorded a positive outcome of 1% compared to the outcome last year.
He also observed that 81,718 results are yet to be processed due to the errors made by the candidates during registration.
He furthermore, noted that the certificates will be ready in 90 days from today.
