A group of lecturers under the auspices of Congress of Universities’ Academics have called on vice chancellors to reopen school.
According to the chairman of the group, Dr Henry Oripeloye, lecturers are ready to resume work, as many have enrolled on the IPPIS scheme.
He further stated that they have nothing to do with UTAS, as ASUU has proposed.
The group was said to have been formed from ASUU, and the chairman maintains that they do not have any clash with ASUU.
Dr Oripeloye equally explained that apart from members of his group, there are other lecturers who do not belong to any group and are willing to resume work.
